Сivic Integration Foundation (CIF)
NNLE “Civil Integration Foundation” was registered by the Ministry of Justice of Georgia on December 20, 2004 # 1184.
The mission of the organization is: to promote the integration of the representatives of the ethnic minority of Georgia in the civil society, active involvement in the political and economic life of the country.
Сivic Integration Foundation (CIF) is a non-governmental, non-profit and nonpolitical organization committed to promotion of civic integration, human rights and civil society. CIF is a leading NGO institution in Georgia in the field of civic integration and minority rights protection. The goal of the foundation is to support integration of ethnic minorities who live on the territory of Georgia and to strengthen their civic and political participation in public and political life of Georgia so that every citizen of Georgia apart from ethnical, religious or other group belongings could evenly execute rights and obligations conferred by international contracts and acknowledged by Georgia and constitution of Georgia. To achieve this aim CIF executes following activities: - Informative - Educational - Publishing - And other activities, which are not prohibited by legislation of Georgia and serve to the goal of the fund. The key structures of CIF are as following: Governing Board, Office of Executive Director and the Departments working in the field of Culture, Education, International Relations and Legal Aid. CIF is composed with young members who represent different ethnic minorities in Georgia. The foundation also has numerous young members with Georgian ethnicity who together with ethnic minorities try to promote civic integration and human rights protection in Georgia. Therefore, the most important target groups of our foundation are young people who live in Georgia and who give their share in development of democracy and civil society in Georgia.
The Foundation actively cooperates and is:
- Member of the Council of Ethnic Minorities under the Office of the Public Defender of Georgia and the Central Election Commission of Georgia;
- Foundation Member of the European Network for the Support of Nationalism, Racism, Fascism, Migrants and Refugees;
- Member of the Coalition for Independent and Transparent Justice;
- Member of the Council of Public Advisers on Self-Government.
The organization also actively cooperates with: the Ministries of Reconciliation and Civic Equality, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, Sports and Youth, and the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia.
CIF - carries out civic education activities and provides non-formal education for both students and adults, based on the protection of human rights and involvement in public affairs.
CIF - Hundreds of young people who volunteer on behalf of the organization are involved in various projects.
CIF - also helps young people to do internships in their own and other non-governmental organizations.
CIF - has regional offices in Kvemo Kartli and Kakheti regions, in municipalities densely populated by Azerbaijanis.
CIF - All projects and activities serve the establishment of civil society in the country and the strengthening of a democratic state.
CIF - has been observing and monitoring the ongoing election processes in the country for years.
CIF - Since its inception, the organization has implemented and is implementing various projects with the financial support of international donors to achieve the goal set by the organization.
CIF - has gained the respect and trust of local NGOs, the government as well as international organizations and donors as a result of its work to date.
